Fani (Bronze Grand Champion CnSand Fanf'Heir at ArdanWood) and her handler Jenny Krieger head off to Eukanuba (national Championship) in Florida. Good luck to this fabulous team! Fenway X Peach Female Pups

In honor of their mother Peach, the girls are named: Apple (Black with white chest, paws and back of neck spot, multi color collar), Orange (Black with white chest, orange collar), Kiwi (almost completely black wearing pink collar), and Mango (Black with white chest, paws, and back of neck, not wearing a collar). All the girls appear to be Wavy.

In honor of their father Fenway the boys are named: Sox (Brown w/White Irish Markings), Bruin (Brown with White Chest), Patriot (Black puppy wearing red collar), Celtic (Black w/ White Chest and Tips of paws, wearing green Collar). They all appear to be Curlies......I would expect that they will have loose curls though as they grow I will know more.

Peach had her babies at co-breeder Chris Harris' (Reel Life) house on 10/6. Peach delivered the 8 pups uneventfully in 3 hours! She blessed us with 4 boys and 4 girls (weights from 7 to 11 ounces). We have 2 brown boys (one with irish markings) and the rest are black with from no white to chests and feet. It appears that we also have 4 curlies. Peach is a very textured wavy, and Fenway is wavy....but Peach's father Jack (BISS CH WaterMark Toby's BlackJack), though a wavy, has been known to produce curlies when bred to wavies. So I will assume that is where the curls are coming from. In honor of their father (Fenway, CH Querida's The Green Monster AWD) the boys are Bruin, Celtic, Sox, and Patriot. In honor of their mother (Peach, CH DeerChase Reel Life Georgia Peach) the girls are Orange, Apple, Kiwi, Mango. Individual pics in a few days.

New Co-Bred Litter due in the beginning of October!

I am co-breeding a litter with Reel Life PWDs (Chris Harris). Chris is the first person I met in PWDs some 20 plus years ago!!! She started it all by helping me obtain my first PWD, Rasta. This is the first time Chris and I have co-bred. The dam is Ch Reel Life Georgia Peach "Peach" and the sire is Ch. Querida's The Green Monster "Fenway". We expect wavies. Black, black and white.....and MAYBE brown!!! We know Fenway produces brown....and Peach MAY carry it!!!! Pups due in the beginning of October.

CnSand Windruff Frozen Chosen One

Introducing CnSand Windruff Frozen Chosen One. He was born August 3rd! Parents are BIS Ch Charlie De Alvalade and Windruff CnSand Last Piece O'Puzzle. Still deciding on a call name for him...but at 10 days old he already weighs in at 2 pounds! He is the product of Frozen Semen stored on Charlie Brown (D.O.B. 1978!). Gotta love science!

SASE Breeding

I decided NOT to breed SASE. The timing was just not right for me personally. After the Puzzle singleton.....the next CnSand litter will likely be in the spring.

Puzzle Pregnancy

Well....Puzzle IS pregnant.......BUT.......the ultrasound only showed one puppy. Sire is BIS CH Charlie De Alvalade.

I may breed SASE (Abadessan's Signed Sealed Delivered). Sire to be determined. Pups would be due first week of September.

CnSand Family Reunion

The CnSand Family Reunion will be happening again this year!!!! Date to be announced...but it will be in mid July. Richard and Anne have graciously offered to host again at the fabulous ArdanWood Farms in Pawling NY!!!!! Keep checking in...as soon as a date is determined I will post it!!!

Puzzle will be ultrasounded to confirm pregnancy on July 1st. If she is pregnant I will spill the rest of the beans on who she was bred to!!!! It is cool......maybe even ice cold.......I would even say Frozen.........

Sawyer and Fani win big at the Nutmeg PWDC Regional Specialty!

Fani (GCH CnSand Fanf'Heir at ArdanWood) goes Best of Opposite at the Nutmeg Regional Specialty. Sawyer (new CH CnSand ArdanWood WhiteWash the Fence 4 Me) was Winners Dog for a 5 Point Major that completed his championship!!! Fani and Sawyer are handled by The Kriegers. I co-own Fani with Richard Garber. I co-own Sawyer with Anne Wagner. Sawyer is bred by Richard Garber and me. Both these special dogs are sired by Ch CnSand Thr'OWEN Big Left Hooks. Fani is also currently ranked number 5 PWD in the US in breed points. Fani is the retriever trimmed one and Sawyer is in a lion trim.

Speedo's First Show!!!

Cindy O'Connor took Speedo in the ring for his first time. He was a biy naughty...but when he did keep four feet on the ground he looked great.

Exciting News!!!!!!!!

We are expecting puppies!!!!!! Due around August 7th. Dam is Puzzle (Windruff CnSand last Piece O'Puzzle). Puzzle is owned by Carol Mattingly and Ann Bowley. Puzzle was born at CnSand from Moo-Kie (Ch. Windruff CnSand Got Milk) and Gotti (Abadessan's Marked Man at CnSand). I am blessed that Carol and Ann have allowed me to lease Puzzle for this VERY special breeding. Once pregnancy is confirmed I will announce the stud dog (trust me it is SOOOOOO Cool!). I expect Wavies and Curlies, Black, Black & White, Brown, and Brown & White. Puzzle is pictured.

Saturday Night Live!!!

In honor of the litter being born Saturday night as well as having two Parti boys this litter puppy name theme is Saturday Night Live......so Parti On Wayne......Parti On Garth.........the boys are Wayne and Garth. The girls are Church (lady), Gilly, and Baba Wawa. All are HUGE (well over a pound) and doing well. Mom Corky is pleased with herself.

Corky X Foster pups!

The pups arrived!!!! A few days early so I was in Dallas at a PWDCA in-person board meeting! YIKES! But Josh handled it well. He put in the call to Chris Harris who drove down to help whelp the litter. The excitement started at about 4:30 PM when her water broke. First puppy two hours later. and the last one at about 4 AM! So Corky (Cora) took her own sweet time! That is a LONG delivery for only 5 pups. But they are BIG ones!!!! First born were two Parti Color Boys who weighed in at 20 and 18 ounces! and the last three were girls with black with white markings. 18 ounces to almost 13 ounces. HUGE!!! names to come.

Corky X Foster pups

I spoke with Marika (Corky's co-owner) on Monday night.......she confirms that Corky is indeed "VERY PREGNANT". Traditionally, Corky would come to stay with me starting about a week from today...which would also be the time that I would be XRaying her to ascertain an approximate number of pups. Though due to a mandatory business meeting in Dallas March 11 through 13 I won't get Corky until the 13th. Her first due date is March 15th......though they are known to go early. Lets hope not in this case! Marika helped with the delivery of SASE's pups and feels good about handling this in the event she goes early. My friend Chris Harris is also "on call" to help if needed. If Corky makes it through the 13th I will have her Xrayed on Monday the 14th.

Fani is a Grand Champion!

Fani (GRCh CnSand Fanf'Heir at ArdanWood) finished the requirements for earning her Grand Championship. Ultimately she earned 5 majors and multiple Best Of Breeds and a Group Placement along the way. Thanks to Jen Krieger for showing her and Richard and Anne Garber for supporting Fani on the way to her title. Fani holds the honor for being the first CnSand GrandChampion!
