CnSand 3rd Annual Family Reunion has been scheduled!

CnSand Portuguese Water Dog Families!

I am hosting the third annual CnSandPWD Family Reunion in Pawling, NY at the home of Richard and Ann Garber.  The Garber's have graciously volunteered the use of their farm for the event.  This stunning property has beautiful grass pastures and is fully fenced in (though as cars enter and exit the property the driveway gate does allow exit so you MUST keep an eye on your dog!).

What to bring:  We ask that everyone attending bring some sort of snack, desert, or drinks.  Please let Kris know what you will be bringing so we can avoid too many duplicates.   We had ALOT of food left over last year...so please feel free to bring smaller portions.

For the dog:  Please make sure that all dogs are fully up to date on shots, have not been ill, and are friendly around other dogs.   Please do not bring any females that may be in season.   Intact adult males are allowed but PLEASE monitor them fully......intact males (over the age of one year) will NOT be allowed to play with each other.   Please keep your dog leashed and with you.  Kris will organize and arrange play opportunities based upon how well dogs get along.  This will not be a free for all dog park!  We will have dogs of varying ages thus we must try and make this a positive and FUN experience for everyone!

SASE and Tiara updates.

SASE (Abadessan's Signed Sealed Delivered) has FINALLY come in to season!   She is being bred to Sawyer (GCh CnSand Ardanwood Whitewash the Fence 4 Me).  If all works out pups will be due around September 20th. I will keep everyone posted.

Tiara (CnSand Heir to the Crown) is approximately half way through her pregnancy.   I still have no clue if she is actually pregnant.   Though I suspect she is the way she has been acting and looking...there is no overt huge evidence!   This is not unusual for where she is in her pregnancy.

SASE x Sawyer

The SASE (Abadessan's Signed Sealed Delivered) X Sawyer (GCh CnSand Ardanwood Whitewash the Fence 4 Me) litter IS still planned.....SASE is late coming in to season.  

Kidd and Tiara eloped!

In honor of Kidd's BIG Best in Specialty Show WIN at the Nutmeg Regional Specialty held at the Greenwich KC dog show he got to take home the big prize....an in season Tiara!!!!!  (well not really....the breeding was planned well before Kidd's BIG win...but we will keep him thinking she was the prize!).   If all goes as planned I expect pups around August 14th!   I anticipate all wavies. Big News! Tiara is being bred to Kidd!

I made a recent decision to breed Tiara (CnSand Heir to the Crown) to Kidd (GCh. Turnabout Beachcomber's Treasure).  I will STILL be breeding Sawyer to SASE as planned, but Tiara came in season earlier then expected and SASE later then expected.   As you can see from his pictures Kidd is a very handsome boy.   His temperament is quite special as well....he is a calm boy, willing to please, and easy to live with.  What more can I ask for.   I expect wavy puppies (slight chance of curly) black, and Black and White.

SASE is Abadessan's Signed Sealed Delivered (stack picture). Sawyer is GCh CnSand Ardanwood Whitewash the Fence for Me (moving picture).  Pups should be wavy, Black, Black and White and probably Parti Color.  In-person meeting required to be considered for a puppy.  

Tushie X Josh

Sadly the Tushie by Josh breeding did not take.  Thus no pups at CnSand currently.   We are planning for a litter for mid-summer.
